The Tecumseh Municipal Airport is located 2 miles north of Tecumseh on Highway 50 just across the highway from the Tecumseh State Correctional Institution.
Burn Permits will no longer be available at the Sheriff's Office. Anyone wanting a burn permit in the Tecumseh Fire District will have to contact one of the following individuals:
The City of Tecumseh requires each person who intends to build, remodel or move a house, fence or deck to apply to the City for a building permit. For more information, please contact City Attorney, Bruce Dalluge at 402-335-3344 or the City office at 402-335-3570.
The City Utilities are under the direction of the Board of Public Works. The Board meets the first Monday of every month at 4:00 p.m. at City Hall, 122 South 4th.
The Community Building is located on the South side of the Square in downtown Tecumseh. It serves as an event venue for various vendors, guests and exhibitors.
All dogs and cats residing within the City limits must be licensed and the license must be worn by the animal. Contact City Hall at 402-335-3570 for more details .
To request the Maintenance Code Official to review an unsightly property or one believed to be in violation of City Codes, please complete the Complaint Form and drop in the City drop box next to City Hall.
The City of Tecumseh is included in the Tecumseh Rural Fire Protection District No. 1. The Rural Fire Department is staffed by 30 volunteer firefighters. The department utilizes three pumpers, three tankers, three wildfire grass rigs, Jaw of Life, a thermal imaging camera and several self-contained breathing apparatuses. The Rural Fire Department has one fire station and over 200 fire hydrants.
